The Department of Technology provides infrastructure and services for the City's main columbus.gov public web site collection and internal departmental sites.  Included in the main public site collection that the Department of Technology hosts and manages are 21 main sites that deliver information about departments and elected officials

Our goal is to improve the delivery of public information, and services through the use of our public facing web presence.  We have embarked on a constant improvement process approach to delivering web services and there have been many advances in the past three years as we make this happen.  A variety of technologies are also being implemented and leveraged.

There are also several sites or site landing pages that have been implemented to deliver information for specific areas of interest.  These pages have been designed to pull content from our many sites about that topic and aid our site visitors in finding this information in a streamlined manner.

Mayor Michael B. Coleman proposed the GetActive Columbus website to deal with one one of his top priorities: tackling the childhood obesity epidemic while making Columbus a healthier and more active city.
